Job summary

Franklin Group in Florida City is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain the property's buildings and grounds, diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other systems.

The role requires operating within safety standards, responding to work orders, and keeping tools and supplies organized. A high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of related experience are expected; HVAC cert preferred; on-call availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• HVAC certification is preferred; CAMT is recommended.
• Fair Housing Certification required within 1 day of hire.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• 1–3 years related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repairs, glass replacement.
• Respond promptly to resident work orders and notify management upon completion.
• Daily repair and upkeep of the community.
• Punch maintenance in vacant units prior to new resident occupancy.
• Care, maintenance and inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Clean work area, tools and equipment; upkeep of company tools.
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents.
• Maintain property uniform and professional appearance and behavior.
• Provide courteous, efficient responses at all times.
• Keep pools, fountains, hot tubs, and amenity areas clean and operable.
• Operate within OSHA standards and company safety policies.
• Maintain knowledge of company policies.
• Pursue educational opportunities for growth.
• On-call availability.
