Grand Homes in Addison, TX seeks an Estimator to join the Purchasing and Budgeting team. You will prepare cost estimates for new residential projects, analyze plans and costs, and support profitability goals.

Responsibilities include value engineering, cost variance reviews, and maintaining estimating databases. The role requires knowledge of PlanSwift, BRIX, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office, plus strong analytical and communication skills.

Competenze

• High school diploma required; college degree or 2–4 years residential construction experience preferred.
• Residential estimating and material takeoff experience desired.
• Experience with PlanSwift, BRIX, and AutoCAD beneficial.

Mansioni

• Prepare detailed construction cost estimates for new residential homes, models, and floor plans.
• Analyze plans, subdivision specs, buyer customizations, and engineering.
• Coordinate with Architecture, Engineering, Sales, and Pre-Construction to resolve discrepancies.
• Identify value-engineering opportunities with Pre-Construction on new plans.
• Compare estimated costs to actuals and review variances regularly.
• Support in-office needs for takeoffs and cost data.
• Maintain estimating databases and tools, including BRIX, PlanSwift, and AutoCAD.
• Audit takeoffs and budgets for compliance with standards and cost objectives.
• Assist Sales by understanding pricing logic and providing pricing support.
• Work two weekend days per month with bonus pay for weekend days.
