Job summary

Huseman Group is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, and GMPs for commercial projects. You will perform quantity takeoffs, review plans, and evaluate subcontractor proposals while collaborating with owners, architects, engineers, and teams.

The role emphasizes risk assessment, cost-saving ideas, and clear preconstruction handoffs. You will use Sage Estimating and digital takeoff tools, with site visits as needed, and travel locally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in construction estimating with detailed quantity takeoffs and cost development.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with estimating software, digital takeoff tools, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, GMPs, and competitive bids for commercial projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and review drawings, specifications, and contract documents for complete scope coverage.
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Identify scope gaps, constructability concerns, project risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Present estimate summaries, assumptions, clarifications, and value-engineering recommendations.
