Job summary

Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development is seeking a QA Inspector with deep knowledge of building science, energy diagnostics, and modeling to support residential retrofit projects across Maryland.

You will travel statewide to inspect energy efficiency installations, review audits and documents, and ensure compliance with program requirements while providing technical assistance to network partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Seven years of experience evaluating loan risk and/or construction management.
• Bachelor's degree with three years of related experience may substitute.
• U.S. Armed Forces commissioned officer experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits to monitor installation of energy efficiency measures.
• Review energy audits, pricing, and documentation for acceptability.
• Provide training and technical assistance on energy modeling.
• Ensure DHCD program compliance and production goals.
• Evaluate and approve contractor work plans, estimates, and project progress.
