Job summary

Fire & Ice Heating and Air Conditioning is seeking a customer-focused Electrical Safety Advisor to join our Columbus team. The role blends residential electrical service expertise with consultative sales to inspect, diagnose, and recommend safe, reliable electrical solutions for homeowners.

The ideal candidate will educate homeowners on safety concerns, identify upgrade opportunities, and present solutions that meet their needs.

Qualifications

3+ years of residential electrical service experience.
Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems and safety standards.
Proven ability to diagnose and solve electrical issues.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to work independently and manage daily service calls.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive residential electrical safety inspections.
Diagnose electrical issues and identify safety hazards.
Evaluate electrical panels, wiring, grounding systems, surge protection, outlets, switches, and other residential electrical components.
Recommend repairs, upgrades, and code-compliant solutions.
Complete electrical service work in accordance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
Maintain accurate service documentation and customer records.
Build trust with homeowners through professional consultations and exceptional customer service.
Present repair and replacement options using a consultative sales approach.
Educate customers on electrical safety risks and the benefits of recommended solutions.
Generate revenue through electrical service agreements, panel upgrades, surge protection, EV charger installations, generator solutions, and other residential electrical services.
Meet or exceed sales, conversion, and customer satisfaction goals.
Follow up on leads and opportunities generated through service calls and company marketing efforts.
