Job summary

Fire & Ice in Columbus, OH is seeking an Electrical Install Technician to perform residential electrical installations, upgrades, and system improvements with a strong emphasis on safety and customer satisfaction. You’ll represent Fire & Ice in the field, delivering high‑quality service to homeowners.

The role requires a valid Indiana Electrical License (Journeyman) or equivalent, 2–3 years of experience, NEC knowledge, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Valid Indiana Electrical License (Journeyman or equivalent) required.
• 2–3 years of residential electrical installation experience.
• Knowledge of NEC codes and safe work practices.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and confined areas.

Responsibilities

• Install residential electrical systems including panels, circuits, outlets, lighting, surge protection and grounding.
• Perform service upgrades, rewiring projects, and new equipment installations to NEC standards.
• Diagnose electrical issues and provide clear customer recommendations.
• Ensure installations meet local, state, and national electrical codes.
• Communicate with customers regarding scope, timelines and operations.
• Collaborate with dispatch, customer service and field technicians for efficiency.
• Maintain documentation of work performed, materials used, and job status.
• Uphold cleanliness, professionalism and customer care standards.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry practices.
