Job summary

IES is seeking a Residential Electrical Estimator to bid new jobs and complete estimates promptly. The role includes file maintenance, organization, and bid administration for single- and multi-family residential projects.

Ideal candidates will have experience in residential electrical construction, NEC code familiarity, and strong take-off skills. This position requires independence, accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating bids for residential projects.
• Knowledge of residential electrical construction practices and NEC codes.
• Reading and interpreting drawings, specs, and bid documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage bids for residential projects (100+ units).
• Take-offs and estimation of equipment, labor and materials.
• Evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Write proposals/bids and manage multiple bids.
• Assist purchasing to ensure costs meet contracted amounts.
• Negotiate scope and quantities with clients.
