Qualifications

• One year estimating experience or equivalent combinations technical training and/or experience.
• Knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control, plus ability to interpret computerized cost data.
• Strong computer and verbal/written communication skills.
• Valid motor vehicle driver's license.
• Pre-employment background check and MVR required.

Responsibilities

• Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Prepare discipline estimate by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work.
• Maintain files of working documents and current supplier price information.
• Incorporate historical data from purchase orders and productivity reports into unit and man-hour figures.
• Review proposal specifications and drawings, attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work.
• Coordinate total estimating effort relevant to particular bid/project as assigned.
