Job summary

InPwr, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our team. The role analyzes construction blueprints to determine quantities and costs for bids, and may lead a team bid.

You will assist client follow-up and support business development under guidance from senior staff. Preferred candidates hold an associate/bachelor’s degree or Electrical Journeyman’s License, with 5+ years of estimating experience and NEC knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must have an associate or bachelor's degree in a related field or an Electrical Journeyman’s License.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical estimating experience.
• Strong knowledge of the NEC and electrical theory.
• Proficient reading of drawings, specs, submittals and data sheets.

Responsibilities

• Create / revise estimates, proposals, and change orders.
• Work with Preconstruction and Operations to build accurate labor, time and materials.
• Identify project cost trends to aid cost reduction and process improvements.
• Responsible for handoff between estimating and project management after award.
• Request quotes from vendors and confirm specs and quote accuracy.
• Perform takeoffs for assigned projects.
• Assist or lead team bids and understand RFPs and bid docs.
• Perform design/build bids with Engineering to finalize costs.
• Weekly outreach and follow-up on pending bids.
• Bid volume of $6M-9M monthly; clarify questions ahead of reviews.
