Job summary

Havenwyck Hospital is seeking an Education Assistant to support the education team in running the academic program for youth and adults in a residential treatment setting in Auburn Hills, MI. The role includes supporting students during daily activities and providing academic assistance throughout the school day.

The Education Assistant will maintain records, support behavior management, adhere to hospital policies, and participate in mandatory trainings.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Parapro assessment experience preferred.
• Experience with emotionally impaired or cognitively impaired children.
• Experience supporting children with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Supports head of the education team in running the academic program.
• Provides academic support based on individualized needs identified through assessment.
• Maintains records and documentation as needed.
• Assists with administrative duties and classroom behavior management.
• Participates as an integral member of the education team and supports students daily.
