Job summary

Rockbridge Area Community Services (RACS) is seeking a part-time Residential Support Staff to assist residents in Lexington and Buena Vista, VA. You will provide daily living support, encourage independence, and facilitate community activities while documenting care plans.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, experience with adults with developmental disabilities, strong communication and organizational skills, and a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Qualifications

• High school graduate/GED preferred.
• Experience working with adults that have developmental disabilities required.
• CNA experience desired but not required.
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Energetic, positive, enthusiastic, and adaptable problem solver.
• Must be 18+ with valid driver's license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, meals, and light housekeeping.
• Offer encouragement and support to help individuals live as independently as possible.
• Engage residents in fun recreational activities and community outings.
• Complete daily documentation and ensure compliance with care plans.
• Administer medications as needed (training provided).
