New Point Life Services is hiring part-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at our Carriage home in Mathews, VA, serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will pick shifts that fit your life and help clients live safely and independently.

No experience required and paid training are provided. You’ll support individuals according to their ISP, assist with daily routines, meals, transportation to appointments, medications training, light housekeeping, and documenting

Qualificações

• Must be compassionate, patient and dependable.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and meet physical requirements.
• Must have valid driver's license and be able to pass a background check.

Responsabilidades

• Support individuals according to their ISP.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, dressing and daily routines.
• Help prepare meals and encourage healthy habits.
• Transport to appointments and community activities.
• Follow agency procedures for medications (training provided).
• Light housekeeping and laundry; complete progress notes.

Student, parent, or working a second job? New Point Life Services is hiring part-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at our Carriage home in Mathews, VA, a short drive from Gloucester. Pick the shifts that fit your life and help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities live safely and independently.

PICK YOUR SHIFTS

• Mornings: 5:00 AM 9:00 AM
• Evenings: 4:00 PM 8:00 PM
• Days: 10:00 AM 6:00 PM (weekdays and weekends)
• 2034 hours a week, with extra hours often available

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Support each person according to their Individual Support Plan (ISP)
• Help with personal care, hygiene, dressing and daily routines
• Help prepare meals and encourage healthy habits
• Drive individuals to appointments and community activities
• Give medications following agency procedures (we train you)
• Do light housekeeping and laundry
• Complete electronic progress notes and report any changes in health or behavior

YOU'RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU ARE

• Comfortable with basic computer documentation
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and meet the physical needs of the job

Required: a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check.

Nice to have (not required): high school diploma or GED, 1 year of experience supporting people with disabilities, or an active Virginia CNA, NA or PCA certification. Great for nursing, psychology, social work and special education students.
