Job summary

The Arc of the Ozarks in Springfield, Missouri, is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a full-time 3p–11p schedule, Friday through Monday. Starting pay is $21.00 per hour with experience-based pay available.

You will mentor, coach, and advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to help them live as independently as possible. You’ll work hands-on with individuals to support their daily living skills, community involvement, and personal goals while

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Patient, dependable, and willing to learn.
• Comfortable working hands-on with individuals and supporting their personal goals.
• Committed to treating the people we support with dignity, respect, and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Teach independent living skills (e.g., cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene).
• Support community involvement and outings with individuals.
• Assist with employment, household, and personal goals.
• Provide medication and behavior support as required.
• Work as part of a team to plan, communicate, and advocate.
