Job summary

The Arc of the Ozarks is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Springfield, MO. You will empower individuals with disabilities by assisting with daily living skills, community participation, and personal care, while fostering independence and dignity.

Paid initial and ongoing training certifications are provided, with opportunities for growth. Shifts include evenings and weekends; a diploma and eighteen+ years old are required, plus CPR/First Aid and MANDT training.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age.
• Diploma from an accredited High School or the equivalent.
• Complete CPR/First Aid training and certification.
• Complete 16 hours of Medication Administration coursework.
• Complete MANDT System Workshop trainings.
• Complete OSHA health and safety trainings.
• Complete Abuse & Neglect trainings and Electronic Documentation training.

Responsibilities

• Educate and support clients in activities of daily living, personal hygiene, cooking, cleaning, and medication management.
• Assist clients with groceries, meal preparation, and budgeting.
• Support clients in community activities, employment, housing, and personal goals.
• Team with staff to plan and advocate for clients and maintain safe, clean homes.
