Job summary

The Arc of the Ozarks is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in Springfield, MO for full-time or part-time roles with 7a–3p and 3p–11p shifts. Starting pay is $21.00/hour with experience pay available, and at least one weekend shift is required.

DSPs mentor and support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, teaching independent living skills and helping them participate in the community. Training is provided, including CPR/First Aid and MANDT.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Patient, dependable, and willing to learn; comfortable with hands-on tasks.
• Committed to treating people with dignity, respect and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Teach and support independent living skills (cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene).
• Assist individuals in community activities and employment goals.
• Provide medication and behavioral support as required.
