Job summary

Mr. Holland’s Home Services is seeking an experienced Residential Drain Technician to diagnose and repair residential drain and sewer issues in Milwaukee and surrounding areas. You will explain problems and options clearly to homeowners, perform cleaning and maintenance, and keep accurate service records using a mobile platform.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and ongoing training, with opportunities to grow within a growing team. Training is provided, and hours vary based on demand.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of plumbing systems.
• Some drain cleaning experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• A positive attitude and the ability to remain calm and professional in "messy" situations.

Responsibilities

• Locate and diagnose residential drain and sewer issues, assessing the scope of work required.
• Clearly explain problems and repair options to homeowners with transparent cost assessments.
• Clean, unclog, and maintain sewer and drain lines using professional-grade equipment.
• Complete all service records, warranties, and paperwork accurately via our mobile platform.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked company truck while adhering to all safety and service standards.
• Actively participate in morning huddles, technical training sessions, and team retreats.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of plumbing systems.
• Some drain cleaning experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right "coachable" candidate.
• A positive attitude and the ability to remain calm and professional in "messy" situations.
• Strong verbal and written skills to connect with customers and the team.
• A proven attendance record, a valid driver’s license (insurable), and the ability to pass a drug screen/background check.

Physical Requirements And Work Environment

• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50‑75 lbs.
• Ability to frequent stoop, kneel and crouch to work in tight spaces.
• Ability to climb and work from ladders.
• Must be able to work in both extreme heat and cold, as well as adverse weather conditions.
• Must be able to push, pull, and carry heavy equipment.
