Job summary

Arc GLOW seeks Direct Support Professionals to provide daily care and support in residential settings for individuals with developmental disabilities in the GLOW region of New York. You will help with daily living skills, activities, and community outings, while documenting progress and coordinating with a team.

The role may include evenings, weekends, and overnights with shifts that offer differential pay.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS driver’s license with acceptable driving record per policy.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Physical ability to transfer and lift people with mobility needs.
• Ability to use a computer.
• Drive to help others and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care to individuals with developmental, intellectual, and/or physical disabilities.
• Assist and encourage individuals with personal needs.
• Plan and participate in daily activities in small groups.
• Document program data accurately and timely.
• Provide transportation as needed with agency vehicles.
• Use various software platforms for job functions.
