Job summary

Achieve in Broome County, NY is hiring a Direct Support Professional – Residential. This full-time role covers all shifts, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays, and pays $20.00–$21.75/hour.

You will provide direct care, supervision, and support to individuals in a residential setting to help them build daily living skills. You will assist with ADLs, develop independent living skills, document medications, transport to appointments, and ensure health, safety, and wellbeing while

Qualifications

• Experience in human services or with individuals who have functional differences.
• Valid NY State driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift and assist up to 50 pounds as required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, hygiene, and toileting.
• Support development of independent living skills such as cooking, housekeeping, laundry, and shopping.
• Support money management skills including budgeting and making appropriate purchases.
• Administer medications and complete required documentation per agency policy.
• Transport residents to medical appointments and community activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized living environment and participate in assessments and team meetings.
• Communicate health, safety, and behavioral concerns to supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations, including Part 633 and Part 624.
