Lifetime Assistance, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional – Residential in Rochester, NY. The role involves caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting with daily living activities, and promoting independence in a residential setting.

Starting wage is $21.55/hour with a $0.50 weekend differential. The position is full-time, on-site, with Thursday/Friday night shifts, and offers paid training and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required.
• Must meet vehicle operator requirements (except overnight/relief shifts).
• First Aid/CPR, SCIP-R, and Medication Administration certification (or ability to obtain).
• Must pass background checks and clearances (SCR, Fingerprinting, SEL, MHL).
• Ability to follow individualized plans and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Support individuals in developing independence, self-help, and social skills.
• Ensure health, safety, and well-being, including medication administration (if certified).
• Implement and document progress on individualized service plans and daily supports.
• Encourage community integration and participation in activities.
• Drive agency vehicle as needed for transportation.
• Maintain positive, professional communication with individuals, families, and colleagues.
• Complete required training and ongoing professional development.
