Job summary

Harvard University Dining Services (HUDS) seeks an Assistant Manager for its Residential Dining program. The role focuses on creating a welcoming dining environment that celebrates diversity, nutritious and sustainable food, and community engagement on campus.

Reporting to Unit/General Manager, you will supervise staff, ensure smooth operations (including catering/board programs), and deliver outstanding customer satisfaction to students, faculty, and guests.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a dining/food service operation.
• Ability to supervise non-exempt teams.
• Strong customer service and hospitality focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a non-exempt service team in residential dining to deliver exceptional hospitality.
• Ensure adherence to HUDS/University quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Coordinate inventory, menu planning, and cost control with FoodPro system.
