Job summary

Harvard University HUDS is seeking a Floating Assistant Manager to provide support across residential dining operations. You will lead non-exempt staff, ensure quality, safety, and guest satisfaction, and collaborate with the Unit Manager to deliver seamless service.

The role requires at least 2 years of relevant experience, a hospitality degree, and fluency with Kronos, FoodPro, and Microsoft Office. It offers a demanding yet rewarding environment at Harvard's campus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience.
• Experience selling and executing catered events is preferred.
• Experience working in a unionized environment is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Kronos or similar timekeeping systems.
• Experience with FoodPro or other menu management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of service staff in managing a residential or retail dining operation.
• Ensure compliance with HUDS and university policies on food safety, sanitation and safety.
• Monitor inventory using FoodPro and manage cost controls.
• Maintain strong relationships with university stakeholders and provide excellent customer service.
• Ensure equipment, facilities and dining spaces are clean, organized and in good repair.
