Job summary

Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start to finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with the customers we serve. They meet with customers, listen to project needs, educate on requirements, and craft design concepts reflecting personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Design degree is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and support design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking and referrals.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, designers, and builders for projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects through all phases with accurate, timely communication.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
• Support company initiatives by modeling best practices with store employees.
• Engage in current design trends in the market.
• Utilize design applications such as Salesforce, Online Design Scheduler, and MyProject.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
