Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) Corazón is a client-centered, multicultural residential treatment center delivering substance abuse treatment with CARF accreditation. The counselor will provide direct recovery support and coordinate care for clients and families under clinical guidance.

Required: Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling, AZ licensure or eligible within 6 months, and experience in substance abuse treatment. Bilingual abilities are a plus in a diverse setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
• Licensed by the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners or license-eligible within 6 months.
• Experience in substance abuse treatment; residential setting a plus.
• Ability to assess, diagnose and counsel clients.
• Knowledge of mental health, substance use, co-occurring disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide general mental health and substance abuse treatment in a residential setting.
• Coordinate and provide direct support services for clients and families with clinical guidance.
• Serve as first contact for all entities involved in client care.
• Facilitate informed consent, treatment planning, goals, and discharge planning.
