Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa in Phoenix, AZ seeks a licensed mental health professional to provide general mental health and substance abuse treatment in a residential setting. You will coordinate and provide direct support services for clients and families under clinical guidance.

The role requires a Master’s degree in social work or counseling, AZ licensure or eligibility within 6 months, and flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• Licensed by the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, or ability to become licensed within 6 months of hire.
• Experience in substance abuse treatment or residential care is a plus.
• Ability to perform assessment, diagnosis and counseling.
• Demonstrates knowledge of mental health, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, and serious mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Provide general mental health and substance abuse treatment in a residential setting.
• Coordinate and provide direct support services for clients and families under clinical guidance.
• Serve as first point of contact for all entities involved in the client’s care.
• Facilitate informed consent, treatment planning and discharge planning.
