Justice Resource Institute (JRI) is seeking a Residential Counselor for Cohannet Academy, an intensive residential program for adolescents. You will work with youth, offering a dynamic, energetic approach and facilitating activities that promote healing and skill-building.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to maintain a safe therapeutic atmosphere for youth.
• Develop and lead enriching daily activities for youth, including arts, crafts, and offsite trips.
• Support youth in building life skills such as cooking, banking, and vocational tasks.

Cohannet Academyis an Intensive Residential Treatment Program for adolescents that specializes intraumainformed care.Cohannet provides 24-hour comprehensive care including a school on site, a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $25.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.

Due to the nature of our work and the youth who are depending on us, there are times where overtime may be mandated.

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting youth that we serve is required.
• Available to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as required.
• At JRI, you will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for youth that we serve!
• Background and driving record checkswill be performed.
