Job summary

BAMSI in Acushnet, MA is hiring a Residential Counselor for MAP. The role supports adults in group living settings, teaching daily living skills and community integration under clinician guidance.

Requires a high school diploma or GED with mental health experience. A valid driver’s license and English communication skills are needed. The position includes weekend hours and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mental health experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments (GLE).
• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement treatment plans and behavior interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
