Job summary

BAMSI in Brockton, MA is seeking a Residential Counselor for the MAP program to provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments, helping with daily living and community integration. You will teach ADLs, implement treatment plans, dispense medications as directed, and accompany residents to activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Mental health experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and mobility assistance may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.
