Job summary

BAMSI in Holliston, MA is hiring a Residential Counselor MAP to provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments. You will help residents acquire daily living skills and community integration, working under clinical guidance.

The role requires MAP certification, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. Strong communication, compassion, and trauma-informed care are essential; weekend schedule is a 12-hour shift on Saturdays and Sundays.

Qualifications

• MAP certification is required for this position; candidates without current certification must obtain it within 3 months.
• High school diploma or GED required; mental health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.
