Job summary

BAMSI is seeking a Residential Counselor for the MAP program in Taunton, MA. The role focuses on rehabilitative support for adults in group living environments, promoting daily living skills and community integration.

You will work under clinician guidance to implement treatment plans and monitor progress. Ideal candidates bring strong communication, basic computer skills, and a compassionate, trauma-informed approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mental health experience preferred.
• Strong communication and basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments (GLE).
• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.

Schedule: (34 hours) Tues 3p-9p, Thurs & Fri 3p-11p, Sat 9a-9p

• Bonus : Lived experience or multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese).
