Job summary

BAMSI is hiring a Residential Counselor for MAP in Brockton, MA. The role focuses on providing rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments (GLE) and helping residents develop daily living skills and community integration.

Responsibilities include teaching ADLs, executing treatment plans under clinician guidance, and administering medications while maintaining documentation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required; mental health experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English and basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer and supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents' needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.

Schedule: (8 hours) Sunday 3p-11p

What You Bring:

• High school diploma/GED; mental health experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility (bending, standing, etc.).
• Strong communication skills (English) and basic computer proficiency.
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
• Bonus : Lived experience or multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese).
