Job summary

Vivmark Residential, born from the merger of AvalonBay Communities and Equity Residential, is redefining rental housing in America. We’re seeking a Project Engineer in Fort Lauderdale to help drive projects from preconstruction through closeout with meticulous documentation and coordination.

This role offers exposure to the full project lifecycle, working with vendors and trade partners, and a clear path toward Project Manager advancement in a high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, building construction, or related field preferred.
• Internship or professional experience supporting commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, institutional, or residential construction projects.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
• Proactive mindset and desire to grow into larger project leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and track submittals, shop drawings, samples, RFIs, and related project documentation.
• Maintain project files, drawings, specifications, contracts, bid packages, and as-built records.
• Coordinate information between project teams, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Assist with pricing requests, estimates, proposals, and change order documentation.
• Support project controls and help ensure critical project information is accurate and up to date.
• Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Project Accountants to keep projects moving forward.
• Monitor deadlines and support project reporting, compliance, and document management activities.
