Job summary

Windward Communities is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a residential community. You will oversee routine and preventive maintenance, manage a maintenance team, and coordinate with contractors to complete projects while maintaining the community’s curb appeal and safety standards.

The role emphasizes outdoor duties across grounds, facilities, and utilities, with on-call responsibilities and a focus on prompt, friendly service to residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of grounds and maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• General maintenance, plumbing, and electrical knowledge.
• Ability to endure outdoor work in all seasons.
• Proficient with hand tools, power equipment, and machinery.
• Good written reports and ability to work independently or in a team.
• On-call availability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Handle project bids and coordinate with contractors.
• Supervise maintenance staff and monitor project status.
• Maintain curb appeal and grounds upkeep.
• Ensure common areas and facilities are clean and well maintained.
• Inspect playgrounds, pools, and recreation areas where applicable.
• Respond to community needs during non-business hours.
• Assist with oversight of service contractors.
• Perform minor repairs in rental homes and facilities.
• Snow removal and seasonal maintenance as needed.
