Job summary

Norfolk County Council is recruiting a Residential Children's Practitioner Level 2 at Marshfield's, King’s Lynn. The role involves leading a shift in a short-break residential home for children aged 5–18 with disabilities, providing personal care, and contributing to care plans.

You will work with a team to create a child-centred, fun and safe environment. The post is full-time, 37 hours per week, with a salary of £33,119–£34,811 per year.

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of working with children with a diverse range of individual needs including neurodiverse young people.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team on shift and contribute to children's care plans.
• Attend meetings and ensure the views and wishes of the children are sought and acted upon.
• Provide personal care to young people with dignity, privacy and respect.
• Engage in active play and provide creative activities; undertake manual handling as required.
