Job summary

Northern Rivers Family of Services is seeking a Residential Youth Counselor to provide daily therapeutic care and programming for elementary aged children on-site at our Albany campus. You will report to the Residential Supervisor and help maintain a safe, supportive environment.

The role requires HS Diploma, experience with emotionally disturbed populations, a clean driver's license, and willingness to complete TCI training.

Qualifications

• Must be 20 years or older.
• HS Diploma/GED required.
• Experience working with emotionally disturbed population.
• A valid, clean driver's license is required.
• Must pass physical.
• Must be able to complete TCI training.

Responsibilities

• Provide for the physical and psychological needs of clients, including safety, hygiene, clothing, food, and medical care.
• Document in writing a summary of each shift and maintain program records.
• Transport 1:1 clients for medical, mental health, and other essential needs.
• Engage youth in developmentally appropriate activities and maintain a therapeutic environment.
• Work on-site on our Albany campus and report to the Residential Supervisor.
