Gateway Behavioral Health Services seeks Direct Care Workers to join our team in newly approved supervised living homes in Mississippi. You will be part of a multidisciplinary treatment team, providing daily support, supervision, and assistance to residents receiving mental health services in a residential setting.

This role focuses on promoting independence, safety, and stability while assisting clients with daily living activities.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Experience in mental health, direct care, or residential services (preferred).
• Ability to work extended shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A willingness to continue education and training to enhance skills relevant to the position.
• Ability to pass required background clearances & screenings.

Aufgaben

• Provide direct supervision and support to residents in a supervised living environment
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including meal preparation, hygiene reminders, and household responsibilities
• Support residents in following individual service plans and program expectations
• Monitor client behavior, safety, and well-being
• Assist clients with community outings, appointments, and transportation as needed
• Encourage skill-building, independence, and appropriate social interactions
• Maintain a professional attitude and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, families, and staff from diverse cultural and social backgrounds
