Job summary

Gateway Behavioral Health Services is seeking Direct Care Workers to join our team for our newly approved Supervised Living Homes. Direct Care Workers are members of a multidisciplinary treatment team responsible for providing daily support, supervision, and assistance to individuals receiving mental health services in a residential setting.

This position focuses on promoting independence, safety, and stability while supporting clients in their daily living activities.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Valid Driver’s License is required.
Experience in mental health, direct care, or residential services is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct supervision and support to residents in a supervised living environment.
Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including meal preparation, hygiene reminders, and household responsibilities.
Support residents in following individual service plans and program expectations.
Monitor client behavior, safety, and well-being.
Assist clients with community outings, appointments, and transportation as needed.
Encourage skill-building, independence, and appropriate social interactions.
Maintain a professional attitude and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, families, and staff from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
