Job summary

Gateway Behavioral Health Services is seeking Direct Care Workers to join our team for our newly approved Supervised Living Homes. Direct Care Workers are members of a multidisciplinary treatment team responsible for providing daily support, supervision, and assistance to individuals receiving mental health services in a residential setting.

This position focuses on promoting independence, safety, and stability while supporting clients in their daily living activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Experience in mental health, direct care, or residential services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and support to residents in a supervised living environment.
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including meal preparation, hygiene reminders, and household responsibilities.
• Support residents in following individual service plans and program expectations.
• Monitor client behavior, safety, and well-being.
• Assist clients with community outings, appointments, and transportation as needed.
• Encourage skill-building, independence, and appropriate social interactions.
• Maintain a professional attitude and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, families, and staff from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.

Positions Available: Full-Time
Shifts Available: 8 or 12-hour shifts available
Schedule: Varying shifts available
