Job summary

Waystone Health & Human Services in Haverhill, MA is seeking compassionate direct care workers for Residential Skills Instructor or Awake Overnight positions in a group home setting. The role includes daily living support, documentation, and safe transportation to activities and appointments.

Part-time opportunities (25+ hours per week) are benefit eligible with an hourly rate of $21.63, and membership in SEIU Local 509. Comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English to follow care plans and document services.
• Experience delivering services to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• MAP Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months; CPR/First Aid within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities including hygiene, feeding, grooming and meal prep.
• Transport individuals using wheelchair-accessible vans to appointments and activities.
• Complete ISP plans and maintain daily logs and behavioral data.
• Provide companionship, mentorship and redirection as needed.
