Job summary

Waystone Health & Human Services is seeking a compassionate direct care worker to join our residential team. As a Residential Skills Instructor or Awake Overnight staff, you’ll support five individuals with daily living activities, transport to appointments, and provide personal care.

This part-time role pays $21.63 per hour and includes benefits; a high school diploma, English proficiency, and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English to follow care plans and document services.
• Experience delivering training and case management for adults with IDD in the community.
• MAP (Medication Administration Program) certification offered within 6 months.
• CPR/First Aid certification offered within 3 months.
• Valid driver’s license with at least one year of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities including hygiene, bathing, dressing, feeding, grooming, and meal prep.
• Able and willing to assist with heavy lifting and driving wheelchair accessible vans; transport to appointments and activities.
• Complete ISP to support personal goals and independence; maintain daily logs and track behavioral data.
• Assist with medication administration and documentation; provide companionship and guidance.
• Maintain a clean, safe residential program and uphold residents’ rights and confidentiality.
