Job summary

Waystone Health & Human Services seeks a dedicated direct care worker in Haverhill, MA to support adults with daily living activities in a residential home. Positions are part-time with varied weekend/evening shifts and a $21.63 hourly wage with union membership to SEIU Local 509.

You will assist with ADLs, manage transportation in wheelchair vans, complete care plans, and maintain documentation while upholding residents’ rights and dignity in a safe, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Read, write and comprehend English to follow care plans and document services.
• MAP Certification and CPR/First Aid training offered/required.
• Valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal hygiene, feeding, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Transport individuals using wheelchair accessible vans to appointments and community activities.
• Complete ISP to support goals and independence.
• Maintain daily logs and track behavioral data.
• Provide companionship, mentorship, and redirecting behaviors.
