Job summary

WellLife Network in New York seeks a Residence Manager to coordinate daily staff assignments and maintain the residential program in accordance with agency policy.

You will provide all aspects of care to residents to promote independence, supervise DSPs, assist with personal needs, and participate in interdisciplinary planning. A valid NYS driver's license and willingness to complete required training are required.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of computer systems (Outlook, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel).
• High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• One to two years experience working with developmentally disabled individuals.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures activities support residents' social responsibility, independence, dignity and growth.
• Implements goals to maximize independence as determined by the IDT, including budgeting, grooming, nutrition planning, transportation, and use of community resources.
• Supervises DSPs daily, reviews data documentation in Avatar, distributes work, and facilitates training.
• Coordinates and assists residents with personal needs.
• Assists in training residents in activities of daily living and developing self-help and social skills.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team processes including evaluation, planning, implementation and monitoring of cases.
• Dispenses medication to residents and maintains medical certification.
• Coordinates and participates in recreational activities for residents.
• Assists in transporting residents to appointments and activities.
• Communicates information to staff and supervisors via logs and reports.
• Maintains residents' financial accounts as requested by Residence Manager.
• Attends scheduled staff meetings and required trainings.
• Performs duties per DSP job description.
• Ability to intervene physically as needed and administer emergency first aid.
• Completes required training courses: AMAP, CPR, SCIP, First Aid.
• Maintains confidentiality at all times.
• Other duties as requested.
