Job summary

Sertoma Center in Knoxville, TN seeks a Residential Coordinator to oversee daily operations and support residents in our well-maintained homes. You will supervise a team of care providers to ensure high-quality care and efficient facility operation while maintaining accurate records and compliance with state standards.

Requirements include HS diploma or GED (Advanced degree preferred) plus 3-5 years DSP/caregiver experience; strong leadership, communication and teamwork skills; TN driver’s

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and/or 3-5 years of DSP/Caregiver experience preferred.
• Experience working in a residential setting with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Familiarity with relevant DIDD/ECF regulations and standards.
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of house managers and Direct Support Professionals (DSP) who care for adults with intellectual disabilities in a residential setting.
• Ensure house managers keep homes clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Encourage staff to care for all persons and apply progressive corrective actions when necessary.
• Evaluate and mentor direct reports to develop high-quality professionals.
• Ensure house managers develop and implement care programs and community activities for residents.
• Assist residents with daily needs and provide emotional support.
• Maintain accurate records including dietary, medical, behavioral changes or incidents.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and facility standards.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, conservators, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in rotating on-call 24/7 (7 days at a time) and work varying shifts.
• Be willing to perform house visits on all shifts (day/night).
• In absence of a house manager, perform house manager duties.
