Job summary

North Community Counseling Centers is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to maintain a therapeutic environment for residents and ensure health and safety. You will interact with residents, assist with daily activities, and document care through shift reports.

The role includes medication administration, incident reporting, transportation and participation in community activities, with required background checks and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with residential care or mental health services, preferred.
• Technical skills for electronic communications and electronic records, required.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily operations of a residential care facility.
• Be prepared to provide staffing coverage at different houses as needed.
• Document staffing, compliance, and quality assurance information in the shift lead report.
• Orient new residents to the program by explaining routines, rights, and content in the handbook.
• Socialize with clients through activities and supervision.
• Attend appointments and outings with clients.
• Document daily activities in the activity log.
