Job summary

North Community Counseling Centers, Inc is seeking a Direct Support Professional Residential Lead for the 3rd shift in Ohio. You will help maintain a therapeutic environment, document daily activities, and support residents with daily routines and medications.

Responsibilities include shift coverage across houses, client outings, and adherence to safety and quality policies. Training on medication administration and safety is provided as part of a comprehensive program.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in residential care or mental health services.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Technical skills for electronic communications and electronic records.

• Document staffing, compliance, and quality assurance in shift lead report.
• Orient new residents to program contents and routines.
• Socialize with clients and participate in activities.
• Attend appointments and outings with clients.
• Document daily activities in the activity log.
• Assist with ADLs such as meal prep and chores.
• Medication administration and documentation.
• Document and submit incident and safety forms.
• Comply with agency policies and attend trainings.
• Attend supervision meetings and participate in additional services as requested.

Direct Support Professional Residential Lead 3rd Shift

We are looking for compassionate, empowered individuals who maintain a therapeutic environment for our North Community residents to lead fulfilling lives. Direct Support Professional staff are the front lines for ensuring residents' health and safety. Interacting with residents and documentation are essential job functions, and you will receive foundational training on how to respond to resident needs.

We're on a mission to assist people in the community to achieve their maximum potential by providing behavioral healthcare services in a healthy, comfortable, and safe environment.

Duties:

• Perform tasks and services necessary to maintain daily operations of a residential care facility
• Must be willing and able to provide staffing coverage at different residential houses during your scheduled shift as needed
• Document staffing, compliance, and quality assurance information in the shift lead report
• Orient new residents to the program by explaining daily routines, expectations, rights, and other essential content outlined in the resident handbook
• Socialize with clients (playing games, watching movies, going for walks, etc.)
• Attend appointments and outings with clients (shopping, movies, museums, etc.)
• Document daily activities in the activity log prior to the end of each shift.
• Assist with ADLs, such as meal preparation and household chores
• Medication Administration and Documentation
• Documenting and submitting incident and safety forms
• Develop knowledge of and remain compliance with agency policies and regulations.
• Attend all mandatory meetings and trainings on Medication Administration, Emergency Safety, Standard Precautions, First Aid & CPR training
• Attend supervision meetings
• Conduct additional services requested by the clients or their service team that may improve their quality of life, health and safety.
