Job summary

North Community Counseling Centers, Inc is seeking a Direct Support Professional Residential Lead for 2nd shift in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on maintaining a therapeutic residential environment, front-line resident care, and precise documentation.

Foundational training will be provided to respond to resident needs. The position requires 1+ years in residential care or mental health services, and offers benefits including health insurance, CEU trainings, mileage reimbursement, and paid time

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience with residential care or mental health services preferred.
  • Technical skills for electronic communications and electronic records.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Able to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Meal provided during shift.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.

  • Must have a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks and services necessary to maintain daily operations of a residential care facility.
  • Must be willing and able to provide staffing coverage at different residential houses during your scheduled shift as needed.
  • Document staffing, compliance, and quality assurance information in the shift lead report.
  • Orient new residents to the program by explaining daily routines, expectations, rights, and other essential content outlined in the resident handbook.
  • Socialize with clients (playing games, watching movies, going for walks, etc.).
  • Attend appointments and outings with clients (shopping, movies, museums, etc.).
  • Document daily activities in the activity log prior to the end of each shift.
  • Assist with ADLs, such as meal preparation and household chores.
  • Medication Administration and Documentation.
  • Documenting and submitting incident and safety forms.
  • Develop knowledge of and remain compliance with agency policies and regulations.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings and trainings on Medication Administration, Emergency Safety, Standard Precautions, First Aid & CPR training.
  • Attend supervision meetings.
  • Conduct additional services requested by the clients or their service team that may improve their quality of life, health and safety.

Direct Support Professional Residential Lead 2nd Shift

We are looking for compassionate, empowered individuals who maintain a therapeutic environment for our North Community residents to lead fulfilling lives. Direct Support Professional staff are the front lines for ensuring residents’ health and safety. Interacting with residents and documentation are essential job functions, and you will receive foundational training on how to respond to resident needs.
