Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and assist clients with self-administration under agency policies.
• Provide limited treatment services and personal care supports to help clients develop functional skills.
• Transport clients to and from the program as needed.
• Document services on medical charts and count sheets with accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain productivity standards for documentation.

About the Position

The Residential Care Associate II will provide support to residents according to individual treatment plans, focusing on personal care services, environmental interventions, and limited group social and recreational activities. Responsibilities include:

• Administering prescribed medications and assisting clients with self‑administration under agency policies.
• Providing limited treatment services and personal care supports to help clients develop functional skills.
• Transporting clients to and from the program as needed.
• Documenting services on medical charts and count sheets with accuracy and compliance.
• Maintaining productivity standards for documentation.

This position falls under the AFSCME bargaining unit. Wages, benefits, and working conditions are set in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

Training Program

With our MHACBO‑accredited training program, staff earn CEUs toward mental health certifications while attending paid training and receiving on‑the‑job clinical supervision.

Work Schedule

Sunday through Monday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (Part Time, Day)

What You’ll Make

Starting at $22.50 – $23.88 per hour, DOE/Credentials. Employees receive an additional $2.00 per hour secure program differential.

Differentials

• Night Shift (NOC) Differential – $3.00 per hour for hours worked between 10:00 pm and 8:30 am (at least 2.5 hours within this period).
• Secure Program Differential – $2.00 per hour for all hours worked in a secured program.
• Bilingual Differential – 5% pay differential for employees meeting the CCS Language/Bilingual Program qualifications.

About the Program

Manzanita Ridge is a secure, co‑ed, 8‑bed program serving adults living with mental illness, located on the grounds of the Junction City Hospital.

What You’ll Need

Eligibility for Qualified Mental Health Associate registration through the Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) is required. Eligibility requires one of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science (Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, or related field).
• Three (3) years of verifiable behavioral health experience in a supervised setting.
• Equivalent combination of behavioral science education and satisfactory supplemental behavioral health experience and training.

Employees will register as QMHA‑R through MHACBO during the first week of employment.

Driving Requirements

Driving is an essential function. Successful applicants must provide a valid driver's license within 30 days of hire, maintain a safe driving record, and pass a DHS criminal background check.

Physical Demands

Position requires frequent talking, listening, use of hands and fingers, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, climbing stairs, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 40 pounds, and occasionally using ladders or squatting. Completion of crisis de‑escalation and CPR training, which may involve lifting and transferring clients, is required.
