About the Position

The Residential Care Associate II will provide support to residents according to their individualized treatment plans, focusing on personal care services, environmental interventions, and limited group social and recreational treatment activities. Responsibilities include:

• Delivering limited treatment services and personal care supports to help clients develop appropriate skills.
• Administering prescribed medications and following physician’s orders in accordance with agency policies.
• Documenting services on medical charts and count sheets in compliance with established procedures.
• Transporting clients to and from the program as needed.
• Maintaining compliance with productivity standards for documentation of services.

This position falls under the AFSCME bargaining unit; wages, benefits, and working conditions are set in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

Training Program

The MHACBO‑accredited training program provides CEUs toward applicable mental health certifications while offering paid training and qualified clinical supervision.

Work Schedule

Sunday through Monday, 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm (Part Time, Swing)

Pay Differentials

• Night Shift (NOC) Differential: Additional $3.00 per hour for hours worked between 10:00 PM and 8:30 AM, provided at least 2.5 hours occur within this period.
• Secure Program Differential: Additional $2.00 per hour for all hours worked in an eligible secure program.
• Bilingual Differential: Additional 5% pay differential for employees who meet the qualifications of the CCS Language/Bilingual Program.

About the Program

Madrone Ridge is a secure, co‑ed, 8‑bed program serving adults living with a mental illness. The facility is located on the grounds of the Junction City Hospital.

What You’ll Need

• Eligibility for Qualified Mental Health Associate registration through the Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO). Requirements: one of the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science (Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, or related field).
  • Minimum three (3) years of verifiable behavioral health experience working with individuals in a supervised setting.
  • Equivalent combination of educational and experiential training.
• Will be required to register as a QMHA‑R through MHACBO during the first week of employment.
• Driving is an essential function; a valid driver’s license is required within 30 days of hire and a safe driving record must be maintained.
• Must pass a DHS criminal background check.

Physical Demands

The role requires frequent speaking, listening, hand use, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, stair climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 40 pounds. Occasionally, ladders, squatting/kneeling, and other tasks may be required. Successful completion of crisis de‑escalation and CPR trainings is required.
