About the Position

The Residential Care Associate II provides support to residents according to their individualized treatment plans, focusing on personal care services, environmental intervention, and limited group social and recreational treatment activities as assigned using an evidence‑based group curriculum. The role includes limited treatment services and personal care supports, administration of prescribed medications, documentation on medical charts and count sheets, assistance with medication self‑administration, transportation of clients to and from the program, and compliance with productivity standards for documentation.

Training Program

The MHACBO‑accredited training program provides CEUs toward applicable mental health certifications, required paid training, and qualified clinical supervision for on‑the‑job experience.

Work Schedule

Friday through Monday, 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm (Part Time, Swing)

What You’ll Make

Starting at $22.50 – $23.88 per hour DOE/Credentials.

Differentials

• Night Shift Differential: an additional $3.00 per hour for hours worked between 10:00 PM and 8:30 AM, provided at least 2.5 hours of the shift occur within this period.
• Secure Program Differential: an additional $2.00 per hour for all hours worked in an eligible CCS secure program.
• Bilingual Differential: 5% pay differential for employees who meet the qualifications of the CCS Language/Bilingual Program.

About the Program

Madrone Ridge is a secure, co‑ed, 8‑bed program serving adults living with a mental illness, located on the grounds of the Junction City Hospital.

What You’ll Need

Must be eligible for Qualified Mental Health Associate registration through the Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO). Eligibility requires one of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, or related field;
• Minimum three (3) years of verifiable behavioral health experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs in a supervised setting;
• Equivalent combination of behavioral science education and satisfactory supplemental behavioral health experience and training.

Will be required to register as a QMHA‑R through MHACBO during the first week of employment.

Driving is an essential function. Successful applicants must provide a valid driver’s license from their state of residence or obtain one within 30 days of hire, maintain a safe driving record, and pass a DHS criminal background check.

Physical Demands: The position requires frequent talking, listening, hand use, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, climbing stairs, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 40 pounds. It may also require occasional use of ladders, squatting/kneeling, and other physical tasks. Completion of crisis de‑escalation and CPR trainings is required.
