Job summary
Pittsburgh Mercy is hiring a Residential Care Advisor-Medical & Financial in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities department. You will provide person-centered residential support, coordinate medical care and financial resources, and help residents with daily living activities.
The role emphasizes teamwork with families and professionals to promote health, stability, and quality of life. The position is full-time, with a day shift Monday–Friday, and benefits start on Day 1, including
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or HS Diploma with 1 year paid social services experience.
- Valid Driver License and ability to drive an organization vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily living assistance, emotional and behavioral support, and implement ISPs to promote independence and well‑being.
- Coordinate medical appointments and financial resources (SSI, DPW, Medicare, Rent Rebates) and complete medication documentation.
- Maintain accurate communication logs and behavior notes; collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide technical assistance to staff and assist with orientation of new employees.
