Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy, a ministry of Trinity Health, is seeking Residential Care Advisors to join a 12-bed home in West Mifflin, PA. This full-time night-shift role involves assisting residents with daily living, medication administration, and fostering a safe, home-like environment.

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma with 1 year direct care experience, a valid driver’s license, clearances, and a pre-employment drug screen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree OR High School Diploma or Equivalency and 1 years of direct care experience.
• Valid Driver license
• Ability to drive an organizational vehicle
• Act 33/34/73 clearances
• Pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

• Residential Care Advisors provide assistance, medication administration, hygiene support and training to adults with Intellectual Disabilities/Serious Mental Illness in our residential locations.
• We’re looking for people who have experience developing and mentoring a team, who believe in a strengths-based approach, and use positive practices to help guide their everyday activities.
• This position will work in a 12 bed home located in the West Mifflin neighborhood of Pittsburgh, close to Kennywood, and a short walk from the bus line.
• Residential Care Advisors can expect to assist with bathing, toileting and dressing residents; cooking meals, and providing support with activities of daily living.
• Daily interactions and socialization, encouraging participation both on-site and in the community, are key aspects of the role.
